Troy Wonnacott


Our fearless leader, Troy, has been in the flooring industry and with Bassett Carpets for almost 30 years.  He started working in the warehouse in high school during the summers and moved into retail and commercial sales after college.  For the past 17 years he has been the owner and operator of the business.  Troy has also worked as a manager for the largest flooring manufacturer (Shaw) for 3 years to gather the necessary knowledge and expertise to handle all flooring aspects.

Troy is a proud father of two home grown Longmont children and husband of a wonderful Longmont school teacher. Together they have been long time supporters of the Longmont community with numerous charitable endeavors and spirited participation.  They are thrilled to have the opportunity to continue the "Bassett" legacy into its 6th decade and beyond.  As Troy likes to say, "This is a true Longmont family business, so we will always treat our loyal customers as though they are part of our family too!"

Mike Maydew

General Manager

Mike began working for Bassett Carpets in early spring of 2012. Prior to Basset, Mike, worked as the golf pro for the Twin Peaks and Ute Creek golf courses.  He also coached the Silver Creek High School Boy's golf team.  Bringing his strong public relation and customer service skills to the company he quickly learned the ins and outs of flooring and window coverings as a Sales Associate working his way into the Sales Manager position after two years.  He has been promoted to General Manager this past spring.  He is very knowledgeable in all products and strives to help the customer select the best flooring for their needs.

Tyler Maydew

Office Manager / Sales Associate

Tyler graduated from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas in the spring of 2013 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Finance.  Tyler became a Bassett Carpets employee in the fall of 2014.  He started out as a sales associate learning about all the flooring and window covering options that Bassett offers.  He is now the Office Manager and offers his knowledge to help customers through the decision making process of various flooring and window covering projects.  He patiently listens to customers' ideas and needs in order to give them the best flooring and window covering options for their individual projects.  In addition to working on the sales floor he also creates and maintains the company's advertising and social networks, which is a key asset for Bassett Carpet continuing to thrive.
